Dr. Karriker is a North Carolina native who grew up in Kernersville, NC. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University in 2006, and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery, with honors, from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2010. He was a member of both Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Societies.
Dr. Karriker has volunteered at numerous events, including Mission of Mercy clinics and Special Olympics, and has delivered motivational speeches to less privileged groups. He has also co-authored and been involved in numerous studies involving reactive oxygen species at National Institutes of Health. Aside from his passion for dentistry, Dr. Karriker thoroughly enjoys gardening and horticulture, reading history books, and spending time with family and loved ones.
Dr. Runde is originally from Fishers, Indiana, where she was born and raised. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University with high distinction and majored in human biology. From there, she started a new chapter in Charleston, South Carolina to pursue her dental education, graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine.
She is new to North Carolina and excited to transition from one Carolina to another. Dr. Runde is thrilled to be joining the team at Mooresville Family Dentistry and serving our patients alongside Dr. Karriker. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Runde enjoys cooking, painting, and spending time outdoors.
Kim has over 20 years of dental front desk experience. She can answer most dental related questions and has extensive knowledge in dental insurance. Kim is from northern Michigan and has lived in North Carolina since 2013. She has two grown children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and camping.
